what’s different between active zinc oxide and nano zinc oxide?

I want to know what’s different between active zinc oxide and nano zinc oxide? Because the surface of active Zno is almost same as nano Zno, They are white and powered . In rubber product , using nano Zno seems like better than active Zno.
Is it right ? I still can’t understand what’s different ? Can you tell me ?
